Displacement in South Ossetia

The UNHCR is closely following the situation in South Ossetia, where thousands of people are reportedly on the move amid violent clashes between South Ossetian and Georgian forces, a worsening situation that led the Security Council to hold crisis talks late last night. Nearly two dozen people have reportedly been wounded or killed in recent clashes and over 1,000 have been uprooted in the past few days.
